Training teachers to carry the whole programme themselves — four modules, three days, a year of support.
A visiting artist leaves at the end of term. The teacher stays. Guru Parampara is how the programme survives that.
The training
Three days, four modules — story, art, language, practice — built around the same material teachers will use in class. It is deliberately practical: most of the time is spent teaching a session and being critiqued on it, not listening to someone talk about pedagogy.
Teachers leave with the full curriculum, the story library, lesson plans for a year, and a WhatsApp group that turns out to matter more than any of it.
The year after
Training that ends on the last day doesn’t hold. Every trained teacher will get:
- Monthly online sessions with the curriculum team
- A regional cohort that meets once a term
- Someone to call when a lesson goes badly
The number we will watch most closely is how many teachers are still running the programme a year on — that, not the count of certificates handed out, is whether this works.
Who can join
Any teacher at any school, government or private, in any medium of instruction. Training will be free for government schools and subsidised elsewhere. The first cohort is being assembled now — ask us about it.
